In celebration of the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, we proudly present Bold chess in Delphinium Blue and Light Gold.

One side of the chess pieces reflect the colour of one of His Majesty's favourite flowers - The Delphinium (Blue) and is paired with the opposing side colour of Light Gold - traditionally associated with royalty.‍ The Boxwood chess pieces are inspired by traditional Staunton design and feature Purling's unique Knight design. Machine turned and hand carving for meticulous detail, the pieces are finished in London - receiving two layers of base-coat primer, two layers of high-gloss paint and two layers of crystal-clear lacquer and are completed with an Italian Napa leather base felt featuring the Purling logo embossed in 18 carat gold.

The chess board is crafted from Italian Alabaster stone in black & white, measuring 45cm x 45cm x 1cm. Affixed to the reverse side of the board is a brushed steel plaque with a unique serial number and features both the official King's coronation and Purling logo's.‍ The King Charles III Bold chess set is presented with a certificate for authenticity and is packaged in Purling branded luxury packaging. Each set is lovingly handcrafted to order, so you can celebrate with a set through the Coronation year and beyond.
